Monthly Recommendations:

Cultivating Loving-Kindness

We invite you to return to this page monthly for a themed recommendation of self-paced mediation resources, blogs, podcasts that we rely upon to keep our practice fresh, as we include voices and teachings that move us to stay curious, kind, and receptive.

As March begins, we are looking at the Cultivation of Loving-Kindness. Often called the "Hallmark Card" of meditation practices by some skeptics, Metta, or Loving-Kindness is actually one of the most impactful ways to build your resilience and ability to empathize with others.

If you have not downloaded an app or two onto your smartphone or your desktop computer by now, we encourage you to check out the free options listed below. The pay-to-play versions of the apps all have more bells and whistles, but you can dip your toe in for free before purchasing anything to see what style of app, if any, suits you best. Just click on the links below.

There are also some great podcasts available, and most notably, Dan Harris on Ten Percent Happier interviews the Queen of Loving-Kindness, Sharon Salzberg.
